From architecture to explanation.
Start with one diagram and one question your audience needs answered.
1. Try without an account
Open the editable example. Select and move a shape, change its label, then press Play. The timeline controls effects and timing. Download the project before leaving: the trial is temporary, not an online backup.
2. Choose the right import
- Visio and draw.io: use the signed-in workspace for structured import. Inspect text, arrow directions, boundaries and page selection before presenting. Complex source features may differ.
- PDF or image reference: in the public trial, choose a local file and, for PDF, a page. The page stays a single image. Add explanation captions while preserving the reference appearance. Changing page replaces the temporary canvas after confirmation.
- AI reconstruction: the workspace’s PDF/image conversion is a separate, optional service. It sends the approved source for AI processing and can make mistakes. It requires access and available credits; it is not needed for the public reference workflow.
3. Explain a small number of steps
Start with the whole diagram. Show the incoming request, explain the application and data path, and finish with the important boundary or decision. Add captions manually and check their timing. In the workspace you can also add your own narration.
4. Choose an output honestly
- Project: the public trial downloads an .anv project with the diagram, reference image and animation. Sign in and use Open file to continue; saving there uploads it to your account.
- Image: the trial exports a branded snapshot, not an animated file. Move the playhead to the moment you want before exporting.
- Video: the public trial offers branded 720p export up to 30 seconds. Keep the tab visible while recording. MP4 or WebM availability depends on the browser; if recording is unavailable, download the project instead. The workspace’s longer and higher-resolution exports depend on account limits and take more time.
- PowerPoint: exported slides and video are different outputs. Not every video effect is a native PowerPoint animation; imported artwork can remain an image. Inspect the actual .pptx in your presentation app before delivery.
Data and privacy boundaries
The public trial does not send selected PDF or image contents to the project API or an AI provider. It loads application code, fonts and the PDF reader from the website. Optional website analytics are controlled through the Privacy settings; local file contents are not an analytics payload.
The trial is not encrypted file storage or a promise of offline availability. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them. Account projects are stored online; sharing and AI processing are separate actions. Use only documents you are authorized to process, and check your organization’s requirements before uploading confidential architecture.
Early-access plans
Self-service paid checkout and automatic Pro trials are not launched. Existing accounts retain their assigned access. Creator at $9/month is a proposed local-export offer, not an available subscription or a promise of unlimited AI. Built-in generation and hosted rendering are not included in the public trial.
Before presenting to a client
- Compare imported labels, icons, boundaries and arrows against the source.
- Preview the beginning, middle and end of every explanation step.
- Check the exported file, not just the editor preview.
- Use original or authorized examples; retain source attribution where required.
